Earth and stone. Fire and water. Gems and gold. These were the things of
which dungeons were made. And as for the dungeons, they were made by the Great
Keeper Andra. Most powerful of the Keepers since the fall of the Ancients, her
empire encompassed the vast majority of the underworld. Other Keepers worked
beneath her, and those that refused to do this at the least paid her a heavy
tribute in gold and minions. Her realms functioned as one, connected by magic
portals and through dark, dank tunnels hewn through the bedrock by infernal
machines of a long-lost design. In the very heart of her empire, Andra rested
upon a throne of bejeweled skulls, and within her court were four and twenty
Horned Reapers who served her unquestioningly, giving her a respect which no
Keeper since has deserved. To her minions, she was more than a Keeper; she was
worshipped as a goddess in every temple, her name extolled with a fervor
normally reserved for the Dark Gods.

Thus it came to pass that the Dark Gods looked upon Andra with wrath, despite
her continued daily sacrifices in their honor. They became jealous of her vast
power, and lusted for her minions' devotion. Khalan. Shalamai. Doph Boladiba.
These were the names of the three beings who now longed the most to see Andra
fall.
