Background Timeline
Though Castlevania: Crescent Moon Concerto takes place beginning on August 23, 1820, and spans a time period of 15 days, the greater saga to which it belongs is a tale spanning a millennium. Steeped in mysticism and terror, darkness and light, Good and Evil, this is the tale of Dracula and his war against humanity -- most especially the Belmont clan -- and of how the fate of mankind has continually rested upon knife-point as they clashed time and time again in the ancient Dance of Illusions.
Note to the Reader: This is a condensed version of my Unofficial Castlevania Timeline, which can be found in its entirety here. This timeline differs from the official one in several key points, but presents a picture which is more richly detailed with historical connections and many characters who no longer exist in the official canon.
