"When this card is summoned to the field (excluding Special Summon), you may move 1 Ritual Monster Card from your Deck to your hand. The Deck is then shuffled."
And here's the second of the Ritual searching monsters in this week's review of Ritual and Fusion support monsters. Unlike his companion Sonic Bird, Senju of the Thousand Hands is currently only available as a Rare from the discontinued Magic Ruler set, so you'll need to trade for him or look for him as a card shop single if you don't have him already.
I'm not totally sure why I'm reviewing this card separately from Sonic Bird, as they are almost identical. Call it a gross waste of time, I guess. The important differences are Senju's Type and Attribute, which are Fairy and Light. Light is very good and lets him fit into various other strategies, and Fairies are a fairly strong type too. Other than this, though, he is identical to Sonic Bird, so see yesterday's review for full information.
Now, to talk about his effect. While it functions in an identical manner to Sonic Bird's, Senju allows you to reach your Ritual Monsters rather than their Spell cards. This is good for the same reasons, allowing deck thinning, eliminating bad topdecks, getting the Ritual in hand as early as possible, etc. He is meant to pair with Sonic Bird to allow complete Ritual searching capability.
If you don't have tomorrow's card, Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands, then you should run at least one Sonic Bird and one Senju of the Thousand Hands. If you only have one Manju, it's not out of the line to run him along with these two, provided you don't push something better out of your deck to put them in.
This card gets the same rating as Sonic Bird, 8.0/10 for Ritual decks only. Tomorrow we'll see why it's 8 and not higher when his big brother Manju comes to town.
